The MSJ40SCE Signature acoustic-electric guitar is in stock and ready to ship from Rockin' Instruments!
On January 7, 2020 Washburn, an American musical instrument icon that’s been making guitars since 1883, announced the news of a New Washburn Michael Sweet Guitar to Make its Debut at Winter NAMM 2020. And, launched it has! 2020 seems to be the year of the jumbo body guitar and the MSJ40 Signature Acoustic certainly gives us reason to explore why.
A big, booming tone that can cut-through other instruments is what many guitarist are seeking, that included Michael Sweet. Best known as the guitar player in Stryper, Michael needed an acoustic that would work when playing live, recording or writing. The Michael Sweet J40SCE signature Washburn guitar features a jumbo body shape and extra depth, which is loud and clear, with well pronounced bass tone that most acoustics lack. This performance-first foundation has been enhanced visually with a solid bearclaw spruce top, highly figured quilted maple back & sides along with an ornate combination of inlays, rosette, and body binding. If you need to get a little louder it also has integrated Barcus Berry electronics. Plugged in or unplugged this acoustic is ready to roll.
